Donald S.
We conducted a comprehensive pre-winter maintenance on six outdoor fire hydrants. First, we emptied residual water from the barrels to prevent freezing damage. Next, we applied a food-grade anti-seize compound to the nozzle threads for smooth operation. We then tested the valve seat shutoffs under static pressure to ensure proper functionality. Each hydrant was meticulously left dry in the upper barrel, ensuring they are fully prepared for cold weather conditions.
